What began as tourist curiosity evolved into serious passion. By 2008, I was enrolled in motorcycle courses, learning to handle manual transmissions and planning something ambitious: a three-month ride from Hanoi to Phnom Penh via Laos. My trusty steed? An ancient Russian Minsk 125cc that had more character than reliability—breaking down as often as it fired up.
Armed with paper maps and the universal language of pointing and smiling, I navigated through Southeast Asia in the pre-smartphone era. That journey taught me that the best adventures happen when you’re slightly lost, completely present, and open to whatever comes next.
The Minsk adventure was just the beginning. Over the years, I’ve chased horizons across continents: conquering the legendary Manali to Leh route with its oxygen-thin air at 5,328 meters, crossing Rajasthan’s endless desert expanses, island-hopping through the Philippines, hugging Australia’s Great Ocean Road coastline, and carving through Romania’s dramatic Transfăgărășan and Transalpina passes.
Each journey reinforced the same truth: motorcycles don’t just transport your body—they liberate your spirit.
Bangkok brought me full circle. This is where my motorcycle story began, and it’s where I want to help others begin theirs. Ducky’s Motorcycle Rental exists because I know firsthand how a simple rental decision can spark a lifetime of adventure.
